Dr. Masoom Yasinzai is a distinguished scientist and educator from Pakistan, currently serving as the Rector of the International Islamic University. He has held leadership roles as Vice-Chancellor of both the University of Balochistan and Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. A renowned biochemist with over 115 research publications, Dr. Yasinzai has made significant contributions to science, particularly in the development of a new chemotherapeutic agent for Leishmaniasis. He has supervised numerous Ph.D. and M.Phil students and attracted research funding from various national and international sources. Recognized for his academic and research achievements, Dr. Yasinzai has received multiple awards, including the Sitara-i-Imtiaz and the Ibn-Al-Hythum Gold Medal.
